IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR 2008 ASSESSMENT NOTICES

Tax assessment notices were mailed June 6, 2008. Please access the tax database here to view parcel data, taxes and tax maps. Be sure to verify your homestead exemption code. All those codes ending in "F" are subject to the homestead freeze. Any increase due to inflation (not new construction on residence) will be offset with an equal exemption by the tax commissioner when bills are mailed.

Example: Your 2006 assessment valuation was $400,000. You received a notice from the Tax Assessor's office that the fair market value for your property is now $600,000. If you froze your property's value at the 2006 valuation, your exemption is $200,000. In other words, you will not be taxed at the $600,000 valuation.
