National Weather Service Confirms EF-1 Tornado in Greene County

Keith Stellman (Meteorologist in Charge/ National Weather Service Atlanta) was in Greene County April 15, 2020 surveying the storm damage from April 13, 2020.  He has officially confirmed a strong F1 tornado in Greene County on Monday morning with maximum winds of 105 MPH.  He stated that the parent storm was the one that originated in Mississippi and tracked across Alabama through GA an then on into South Carolina.

The EF-1 tornado left a 6.6 mile long path of destruction through the south side of Greene County.  Fortunately, there were no injuries or loss of life.
