The Greene County Board of Commissioners is accepting applications for a Code Enforcement Officer in the Building and Zoning Department.  This position is responsible for enforcing codes which address public health, safety and welfare; including, but not limited to, regulations and ordinances related to construction, housing maintenance, rubbish, zoning, erosion control inspections, erosion control plan reviews, dangerous buildings and inoperable or unlicensed vehicles on public or private property. Applicants would also be responsible for filling in for the office administrator and/or building inspector in their absence. Applicants must be self-motivated, possess excellent verbal and organizational skills and able to work well with the public, county officials and staff.  A combination of training and experience with enforcement procedures is preferable.  Resumes and completed applications may be mailed to the Greene County Board of Commissioners’ Office at 1034 Silver Drive, Suite 201, Greensboro, GA 30642 and will be accepted through July 7, 2017.

The Greene County Board of Commissioners is accepting applications for entry level positions at Public Works.  Applicants must be familiar with the use of hand and power tools.
