A part of Georgia’s modern integrated electrical transmission system, Greene County has excellent ability to supply industrial demands. Natural gas provides 41% of Georgia's net electricity generation with nuclear reactors supplying 26%, coal supplying 25% and renewable energy, including hydroelectric power, contributing 8%.  If demand exceeds 900kw, customers outside municipal boundaries may choose any supplier offering service in their area.
