Biography

Dee Lindsey, District 3 CommissionerDee Lindsey is a native of Greene County.  He is the President and CEO of PowerTech Engineering (PTE).  With offices in GA, IN, and SC, PTE provides consulting and engineering services to electric utilities throughout the southeast and midwest United States.  Prior to becoming an owner in his own consulting engineering company, Dee was locally employed by Rayle EMC in Greensboro. During those years, he was active in a number of local professional memberships.  Those include the Lion’s Club, Optimist Club, Rotary Club, Lake Oconee Home Builder’s Association, Georgia Economic Developer’s Association, and serving as chairman of the Greene County Chamber of Commerce.  Dee has a passion for improving the quality of life for all local residents through economic development and educational efforts. His goal is to build our entire county into a desirable and viable location which will enable our children and grandchildren to return and reside here while enjoying a sustaining economic livelihood and quality of life opportunities.  In addition to being elected to serve as a County Commissioner, he currently chairs the Greene County Arena Advisory Board and serves as a representative of the City of Union Point on the Greene County Development Authority. Dee and his wife Susan reside on his family’s generational farm land just north of Union Point.  They are active members of the First Baptist Church of Union Point where he has served as Sunday School Director and Deacon. They have two grown children, Elliott Lindsey of Union Point who is self- employed and Brooke Cleveland of Cumming, GA who is a Special Agent with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
