District 3 Commissioner, Dee Lindsey, presented the award saying, "The students and parents of Greene County School System and Nathanael Greene Academy have been blessed by Mr. and Mrs. Jones' sweet gestures in so many ways that a simple "Thank You" doesn't seem to be enough."
The Jones' love for children and their futures has carried on throughout the years. They have provided various support to numerous Greene County athletic teams and students from purchasing required sports equipment, school supplies, sponsoring numerous sports banquets, hosting pizza parties, inviting athletic teams to dinner, providing anonymous funds to those in need, and offering a scholarship to a deserving senior in memory of a daughter.
