Summer paving is now in full swing and lane closures can be expected around the county. Garrett Paving will be performing the roadwork. They will have flaggers and pilot cars when necessary.
Revenue from the Georgia Department of Transportation's Local Maintenance and Improvement Grant (LMIG), the Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST), the one cent sales tax that was approved by Greene County voters in November of 2020, and the Transportation Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (TSPLOST) approved by voters in May of 2022 made it possible to fund the work on 26.02 miles of county roads.
This is a full list of county roads scheduled for maintenance this summer. They are not in the order in which they will be resurfaced. For updates on when and where work will be occurring, watch our website and Facebook page.
