What is Changing?
The new amendment requires that the corrugated stainless steel tubing (CSST) be bonded in accordance with the National Electric Code, and the steel tubing must have an arc-resistant jacket or coating system that complies with American National Standards Institute and CSA Group’s standards.
Why is the Change Being Made?
Concerns over fire safety and electrical conductive potential of the steel tubing.
