Insurance Rating

Our ISO rating is a 4/4x, the 4 being any dwelling within 5 miles of the station and within 1,000 feet of a hydrant. A 4x applies to any dwelling within 5 miles of the station and beyond 1,000 feet from a hydrant.

Apparatus

Greensboro Fire Department has:

• One 60-foot ladder truck
• One Rescue truck with all Georgia Emergency Management (GEMA) required rescue equipment that also serves as a backup pumper with 1,000 gallons of water and 30 gallons of foam
• A tanker/ knocker with 1,800 gallons of water
• Two Engines, one of which has all required GEMA rescue equipment. Both carry 1,000 gallons of water

Staff

The department currently has 26 very dedicated members (volunteers). The Greensboro Fire Department answers an average of nearly 20 calls a month in our community.
