The Greene County Tax Commissioner’s Office is proud to announce the opening of a new Motor Vehicle (MV) Express Kiosk, located inside Publix #853 at 6350 Lake Oconee Parkway, Greensboro, GA 30642. This cutting-edge self-service station will offer residents expanded access to key motor vehicle registration and driver’s license services – even during evenings and weekends.
To celebrate the launch, a ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at the Publix location on Thursday, March 5, 2026, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Community members, local officials, and media representatives are invited to attend.
The MV Express Kiosk allows customers to:
- Renew vehicle registrations in minutes
- Pay Insurance Penalties
- Driver License Renewals
- Duplicate Driver Licenses
- Change of Address Updates
- Driver History Reports
"This new kiosk is a big step forward in making motor vehicle services more accessible to our community,” said Celeste Thurmond, Greene County Tax Commissioner. “By placing it in a high-traffic location like Publix, we're making it easier for Greene County residents to handle their vehicle registration needs quickly, conveniently, and on their schedule.”
The MV Express Kiosk is available during Publix’s operating hours, providing flexibility for those who can’t visit the Tax Commissioner’s Office or the Department of Driver Services (DDS) Service Center during standard business hours.
