Hours and Compensation for Poll Workers
Hours during Early Voting
All poll workers are expected to work some days during Early Voting as well as on Election Day. Poll Workers are to report to the Early Voting Poll at 8:00 a.m. Poll Workers are expected to assist in closing for the day and are generally released by 5:15 p.m.
Hours on Election Day
All Poll Workers report to their assigned polling place at 6:00 a.m. The Manager declares the poll officially open at 7:00 a.m. Although the polls close at 7:00 p.m. Poll Workers are required to stay until all the ballots have been accounted for and all materials have been packed away.
Compensation
Services Eligible for Compensation
- Hours and Days Assigned that are Worked
- Approved Required Training that are Attended
Hourly Compensation
Poll Workers:
- $8.00/hour as a paid volunteer
Poll Managers / Assistant Managers
- Additional pay for increased responsibilities.
