Checklist of Notes to be Added to Building Plans

• Label all window and door sizes;
• Label all windows, doors, and shower glass that is to be tempered;
• Label the egress door required in each dwelling;
• On each plan sheet containing wall layouts, include a note that all chases are required to have a minimum ½ inch material installed on top the chase;
• If your design has an elevator, include a note either on your detail or on each page enumerating the elevator. “That shaft walls are required to have a minimum 1-hour rating”;
• If your design has a bar/drink station, include a note “Receptacle spacing to be same as kitchen”;
• Each plan design must also include the total square footage of each story including any storage, unfinished or mechanical area.
